Welcome to the KCSMA Parent Teacher Organization!
We believe that children are motivated to become lifelong learners when they are part of a thriving learning environment that includes active participation by their families, schools, and their community. Our PTO exists to provide support for the educational, social, and recreational needs of the students and to promote open communication between parents, teachers, and administration in an atmosphere that is consistent with the educational philosophy of KCSMA.
Please visit this page often for the latest information on PTO sponsored events and volunteering opportunities. If you use the FOLLOW feature, you will receive email notifications by email whenever there is a new post. We use this page to post school information pertaining to activities of the PTO, but at times, we also share important school news. You can also find us on Facebook and Twitter.
Although we provide support to KCSMA, the Parent Teacher Organization is a separate entity. Therefore, for information related to school policies, procedures, or enrollment, please refer to the student handbook or contact the school directly. You can find links to the KCSMA website and KCSMA Facebook Page on this page.

Teacher Luncheon Update:
Dear Parents and Volunteers,
I really need to thank you for your donations last Friday for the teacher appreciation luncheon. Once again we were able to provide the teachers and staff a full luncheon. This month we served up hot waffles on the spot (vanilla and pumpkin flavored) as well as all of the regular breakfast fixin’s. All of the teachers were very impressed with our breakfast buffet and appreciate all that the PTO has done so far this year.
Your time and efforts were very much appreciated!!
Thanks again, Chelsey Kinsinger Teacher Appreciation/Hospitality Committee
***VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR OCTOBER BOOK FAIR***
We are in need of volunteers for the Scholastic Book Fair from setting up on October 16th through packing up on October 25th. This is a very fun volunteer opportunity because you are always busy and have a lot of interaction with all of the students. If you are interested in volunteering, please sign up at the link below. Thank you!
I would personally like to thank each and every parent, for all your help with the county fair yesterday. The Kennesaw Charter Science and Math Academy PTO would like to especially send our deepest gratitude to all the parents that came out to help and to the volunteers that jumped in to make the PTO event a huge success… not to mention a lot of fun!! Thank you for helping out and all of your effort!
Our vendor booths were made up of 90% parents of KCSMA students. Thank you all for coming out! We hope to make this a tradition so that we involve our KCSMA parents anywhere we can.
Thank you to Texas Taco and Linkz, our food truck vendors. I heard everyone talking about how good the food was. Your attendance really helped the county fair to be a huge hit.
A special thanks to all the parents and grandparents who purchased or made homemade cupcakes, cookies, brownies, and cakes for the bake sale and cake walk. All of your wonderful donations where very overwhelming and heartfelt. What an amazing family and team of parents and grandparents we have at KCSMA.
To the PTO team, who if I did not have, this would not have happened. You are the BEST!!! Your efforts and hard work are more than anyone could have ever asked for. You are my friends, my family, and I want you to know I love you and respect each of you.
So from me to all of you, HATS OFF and THANK YOU!
