Holiday Shop is Open

KCSMA families, as a reminder, our annual Holiday Shop is underway. Students have the opportunity to pick out gifts for family and friends all priced between $.50 and $6.00. Classes are visiting the shop this week. Please remember to send in funds for your child to shop with and a shopping list is always helpful.

Additionally, there is still a need for volunteers (especially Thursday, 12/14) and plastic shopping bags. The more volunteers available to help, the more enjoyable experience our kids will receive.

Please visit the link below to sign up to volunteer:

lunch with mayor flyerWho is the mystery winner?

Three students won lunch with the Mayor as a bingo prize during our PTO event last month.  We have received two of the forms but are still missing one.  If your child won this prize, please turn in the bottom portion of the yellow form as soon as possible.  Thanks!

Breakfast with Santa Postponed

KCSMA Families and Friends, your safety is a top priority for us. And it was amazing to see the RSVPs for the Breakfast with Santa. However, we must push this event back by one week to 12/16. With the weather declining through today, we do not want to risk anyone’s safety on the roads tomorrow morning.
So mark your calendar for next weekend! The activities will be the same and this will be a great opportunity come and enjoy a pancake breakfast with Santa. Stay warm and please be safe!
Sincerely,
Yvonne Longs and Jack Stewart, Co-Presidents KCSMA PTO

Holiday Shop Volunteers Needed

Seasons Greetings KCSMA families. Our annual Holiday Shop is coming soon. This is an exciting time for our students, where they get to pick out gifts for family and friends all priced between $.50 and $6.00. In order for this to be an enjoyable event, we really need volunteers to be present to assist the students. Areas you may be assigned to volunteer in can be as a shopper’s helper, a cashier, or a gift wrapper/bagger. The more hands available, the more individualized experience our kids will receive.

Volunteers, hands present, is the MOST important thing we need for this event. Please visit here to sign up to volunteer:

Other Ways to Contribute:

  • Donate old newspapers (these are shredded to make gift bows)
  • Donate plastic shopping bags (these are used to make it easy for students to carry their gifts)
  • Donate items that can be sold in the Holiday Shop (those cute and often on clearance trinkets you find at craft stores, handmade ornaments, handmade gifts)
  • Spread the word to businesses to help sponsor our holiday rooms during the Breakfast with Santa (please see attached flyer)
  • Help your child(ren) make their shopping list and budget to use on their class shopping day. This can help volunteers a lot when assisting the students.
