Welcome to the KCSMA Parent Teacher Organization!

We believe that children are motivated to become lifelong learners when they are part of a thriving learning environment that includes active participation by their families, schools, and their community.   Our PTO exists to provide support for the educational, social, and recreational needs of the students, staff, and administration in an atmosphere that is consistent with the educational philosophy of KCSMA.

Please visit this page often for the latest information on PTO sponsored events and volunteering opportunities.  If you use the FOLLOW feature, you will receive email notifications by email whenever there is a new post.   We use this page to post school information pertaining to activities of the PTO, but at times, we also share important school news.  You can also find us on Facebook and Twitter.

Although we provide support to KCSMA, the Parent Teacher Organization is a separate entity.  Therefore, for information related to school policies, procedures, or enrollment, please refer to the student handbook or contact the school directly.  You can find links to the KCSMA website and KCSMA Facebook Page on this page.

Looking for a Carpool Partner?

☆☆☆Looking for a Carpool Partner?☆☆☆

Carpooling with another KCSMA family is a great way to help the environment, save time, and lessen the congestion in carline. Some families share driving duties by taking turns driving and picking up. Others help pay gas costs for their child to ride with another family.

Visit the PTO’s Facebook Page, Kennesaw Charter Science and Math Academy – PTO, to try to find a carpool buddy!

Back to School Grounds Clean-up

Saturday, August 1, 2015, 9am-11am

The Green Committee will be hosting a back to school grounds clean-up, and we are looking for volunteers. We will be weeding, picking up litter, and planting. Get a head start on volunteering and join us. We encourage everyone to wear gloves, and bring a weed trimmer if you can.

Can’t make the event or want to help even more?

We are always in need of fresh pine straw and would love to have annuals that will survive the next few months. Violas (not pansies) are always nice as they will tolerate the heat and last until the frost. We would also be happy to find homes for donated perennials or Crepe Myrtles (new or from your yard).

DATE: 08/01/2015 ( Sat 9:00AM – 11:00AM EDT )

Have a great summer, keep those bird baths full, and reduce your footprint when you can!
